OLD CHURCH CHOIR

There’s revival, and it’s spreading Like a wildfire in my heart Sunday morning, Hallelujah And it’s lasting all week long Can you hear it? Can you feel it? It’s the rhythm of a gospel song Oh once you choose it, you can’t lose it There ain’t nothing there ain’t nothing gonna steal my joy

I’ve got an Old Church Choir singing in my soul I’ve got a sweet salvation and it’s beautiful I’ve got a heart overflowing cause I’ve been restored No, there ain’t nothing gonna steal my joy No there ain’t nothing gonna steal my joy

When the valleys, that I wander Turn to mountains that I can’t climb Oh, you are with me, never leave me Oh cause there ain’t nothing there ain’t nothing gonna steal my joy

Clap your hands and stomp your feet Till you find that gospel beat Cause He’s all you’ll ever need, all you’ll ever need Clap your hands and stomp your feet Till you find that gospel beat Cause He’s all you’ll ever need, all you’ll ever need

O PRAISE THE NAME ANASTASIS
I cast my mind to Calvary Where Jesus bled and died for me I see His wounds, His hands, His feet My Saviour on that cursed tree

His body bound and drenched in tears They laid Him down in Joseph’s tomb. The entrance sealed by heavy stone Messiah still and all alone

O praise the name of the Lord our God O praise His name forever more For endless days we will sing Your praise Oh Lord, oh Lord our God

Then on the third at break of dawn The Son of Heaven rose again O trampled death, where is your sting? The angels roar for Christ the King

O praise the name of the Lord our God O praise His name forever more For endless days we will sing Your praise Oh Lord, oh Lord our God

He shall return in robes of white The blazing sun shall pierce the night And I will rise among the saints My gaze transfixed on Jesus’ face

O praise the name of the Lord our God O praise His name forever more For endless days we will sing Your praise Oh Lord, oh Lord our God Ending Oh Lord, oh Lord our

MAIN TEXT Acts 12 v1-19

About that time Herod the king laid violent hands on some who belonged to the church. 2 He killed James the brother of John with the sword, 3 and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread. 4 And when he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out to the people. 5 So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.
6 Now when Herod was about to bring him out, on that very night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries before the door were guarding the prison. 7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.” 9 And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. It opened for them of its own accord, and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel left him. 11 When Peter came to himself, he said, “Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.”
12 When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose other name was Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying. 13 And when he knocked at the door of the gateway, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer. 14 Recognizing Peter’s voice, in her joy she did not open the gate but ran in and reported that Peter was standing at the gate. 15 They said to her, “You are out of your mind.” But she kept insisting that it was so, and they kept saying, “It is his angel!” 16 But Peter continued knocking, and when they opened, they saw him and were amazed. 17 But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, “Tell these things to James and to the brothers.” Then he departed and went to another place.
18 Now when day came, there was no little disturbance among the soldiers over what had become of Peter. 19 And after Herod searched for him and did not find him, he examined the sentries and ordered that they should be put to death. Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and spent time there.

A note from Pastor Paul

Thank you for worshiping with us this morning. We are excited that you are here and we look forward to getting to know you. I just wanted to take a couple of minutes and introduce myself to you. My name is Paul Culbertson and I serve as the Lead Pastor of Wellspring Community Church.

We keep things really simple here. We are focused around the two greatest commands given. Love God and Love People. We totally understand that you may be here today and don’t know if you believe in Jesus or not. Everyone is welcome here no matter where they are at.

We want Wellspring to always be a place where questions get answered and people feel like they are important.

We want you to know upfront that we are not perfect. We are people who make mistakes all the time. We are not here to pretend we have it all together. We don’t. We are here because we love Jesus and we know that He is the one that can put us all back together. Jesus said His yoke was easy and His burden is light. We want to help you find rest, find family, and find encouragement.

When we find these things we begin to enjoy who Jesus is. When we enjoy who Jesus is, we naturally share him with the people around us where we live, work and play.

Our community is important to us. We are on a mission together with other Christian families of faith around us to help every man, woman and child repeatedly hear and be in a relationship with others who know the good news of Jesus. Let us know how we can help you or pray for you.

My cell phone number is 906.241.6061 please feel free to call or text with any questions or if you just want to grab coffee or lunch. My email is paul@wellspring906.com

THANK YOU AGAIN, for worshipping with us today!
