The city of Escanaba has roughly 12 thousand people living within it. Delta County has roughly 37 thousand people living within it. To love our neighbors and show Christ to the unchurched means that we have to rethink the purpose of the church. The Church should never be defined as a building, but rather a movement of people who are in unity around the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can’t just be a church on Sunday, but rather we must be the church every day in the context that we live. We believe that God has called us to Delta County to plant a church that from it’s infancy will have the DNA of multiplication; casting forth the vision of the community church to other communities across the Upper Peninsula. We want communities to have their own places to gather for worship and to be sent out and serve.

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:3-4

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:10

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone…
